  • Prepare cost estimates for removal of underground storage tanks

  • Coordinate scheduling of heavy equipment deliveries

  • Coordinate subcontractors and material

  • Complete necessary documentation for approval by governmental authorities

  • Perform all UST removal and closure duties by International Code Council - certified personnel

  • Coordinate billing of project

Northern Indiana Mechanical has over 25 years’ experience in the remediation of manufactured gas plants. We have been involved with the investigation/remediation of over 35 projects for NIPSCO, ComEd, Indiana Gas, Kokomo Gas, Northern Indiana Fuel & Light Company, Southern Indiana Gas Company, NICOR, and People's Gas.

Northern Indiana Mechanical, Inc. is currently one of the most experienced MGP site excavating contractors in the area. We have achieved our success in this area by taking a common sense and economical approach to logistical problems. We also stress thorough job planning as well as safety for our employees and the public.

MGP Services

  • Attend pre-bid meetings and prepare time and cost estimates, including subcontractor pricing

  • Schedule mobilization of heavy equipment, rental equipment and materials to the site

  • Provide heavy equipment operators accountable for the excavation and stabilization of hazardous waste

  • Maintain equipment and employee hours and material used onsite for invoicing purposes

  • Restore worksite upon job completion
